While Australia remains a top university destination for International students, it also happens to the most expensive. A 2013 study by HSBC found that foreign students spend an average of $38,500 per year on tuition fees and living costs.
This is almost double the amount overseas students spend annually in Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
